There is a growing demand in the construction industry for innovative and durable solutions, especially in the field of facade cladding.
Sillmaster’s ventilated façade claddings are made of fibre-reinforced concrete in unique sizes and patterns, which stand out not only aesthetically but also functionally.
With their long service life and high resistance, these claddings bring a new level of appearance and protection to buildings, while fully meeting the needs of modern architecture.
3 big advantages of Sillmaster facade cladding
– Low cutting waste: working with the customer to achieve a production size (within 200*100cm) that guarantees cutting and waste optimisation.
– Custom design: on customer request, the product will have the design that the customer wants (tooling costs apply).
Can be: wood pattern, stone pattern, no pattern, etc…)
– Unique colour: the products are tinted in their material, so wear and scratches are not as visible as on foiled products.
We only use inorganic dyes, so the possibility of colour fading is very low.
Layering of the ventilated facade
The most typical layering of ventilated façade insulation is as follows:
Sillmaster facade cladding (1): the facade cladding is the outer protective layer that protects the entire structure from the elements.
The cladding is made of fibre-reinforced concrete.
Ventilated air layer (3): a ventilated air gap between the façade cladding and the thermal insulation guarantees efficient moisture removal.
In this air layer, air usually flows upwards due to the horn effect.
It is important that the insulation does not come into direct contact with the air flow, as this can reduce the insulation effect.
Thermal insulation (4): the thermal insulation layer prevents heat loss and creates a comfortable living climate inside the building.
Rock wool insulation is an excellent choice for ventilated facades.
Masonry (5): the load-bearing structure on which the insulation and the cladding are fixed.
Brackets (2): the supporting structures on which the profiles are fixed.
Profiles (2): this is where the cladding is fixed.
